(x + 5)² - (2x + 7)² = 0 : identité remarquable a² - b² = (a - b)(a + b) ;

donc : (x + 5 - 2x - 7)(x + 5 + 2x + 7) = 0 ;

donc : (- x - 2)(3x + 12) = 0 ;

donc : - x - 2 = 0 ou 3x + 12 = 0 ;

donc : - x = 2 ou 3x = - 12 ;

donc : x = - 2 ou x = - 12/3 = - 4 .
